Gorgeous, super slo-mo sunset balearic ambient piece here from Faint Waves, lead track on a new three track EP ‘Sol d’en Serra’ from new label Higher Love Recordings. It’s a cool package with a fine dreamhouse bubbler ‘Shimmer’from James Bright and cinematic atmospherics from Audiocluster. Out 27/4/20

Prompted by the recent Oto No Wa release from Music for Dreams, I was reminded of this awesome release from Light in the Attic of 80’s and 90’s ambient from Japan. It’s another stunning package, complied by Spencer Doran of Visible Cloaks. In a beautiful 3 x vinyl package and digital too, some sublime music here for headphone immersion and horizontal exploration.

An essential purchase / listen from Music for Dreams here…
For the fifth entry in their Collector’s Series, they enlist the skills of Japan-based musical connoisseurs, Ken Hidaka, Max Essa, and Dr. Rob.
Their compilation Oto No Wa sets out to map the evolution of chilled Japanese sounds across 3 decades. Collecting 14 tracks, produced by a wide range of artists. From ambient pioneers to dance-floor veterans.
Almost a year since this beauty came out, sublime ethereal ambience and gorgeous visuals, another essential purchase for balearic heads 🙂
